Things Appear Far Away And Small Things Feel Heavy…happened As A Child, Still Happening?

Sometimes I’ll feel like the floor is really far away when I know it’s close by, and when I dream things will suddenly get too thin or too big and I can’t fix it. And I’ll imagine or actually pick up something tiny like a needle and it will feel thick and too heavy or something really heavy like a tire would feel really light. I get really scared for no reason and my mom used to give me stuff for constipation and tell me to use the toilet.
My earliest recollections of this happening is about three or four. This is eleven years later and it’s still happening! What is it??

I remember having those sensations too when I was younger…I think I just outgrew them or found another way to process them. They were feelings of being overwhelmed…I usually had them when I was really tired or sick. I think the last time felt that way was around 15 or 16.

Sounds like mild anxiety. Try taking some nice deep breaths, or reciting something until it goes away.
